EKOPEY needs build the new financial system around remittances. By using Solana, we believe that much of the current money transfer system can be improved with decentralized alternatives.

Many people around the world face the issues of remittances such as:

  • High taxes
  • Multiple intermediate
  • One option (Cash Out)

What it does

We build a blockchain system around remittances. By using Solana Blockchain we allow people to send, receive and lend money with many advantages:

  • Decentralized
  • Cheap fees
  • Multiple money usage

How we built it

  • Blockchain: Solana Devnet
  • Backend: Node.js, Web3, spl-token, apricot-lend/apricot
  • Mobile: React native.
  • Around all these features, users don't have to do anything like create wallet manually, add SOL on exchange to pay for transactions because the system handles all these things for them thanks to our Master Wallet.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge has to create the Master wallet mechanism that allow user to use Solana Blockchain like a centralize system.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are really proud to develop the Lending features that allow user to make profit when they lend their money to the platform by using apricot.one as provider.

What we learned

The blockchain technology can help so much people in the daily life, specifically the usage of stable coin. And the technology use to provide solution is not so important the most is to solve people problem by building solution that easy to use whatever the age, the country and intellectual level.

What's next for Ekopey

Build a good team, project audit, Find partnership, small group to test on Mainnet, Go public.
