Inspiration

The Eket WP Hub project was inspired by the need to create a centralized platform for the Eket WordPress Community. The goal was to provide a space where WordPress enthusiasts could easily connect, learn, and collaborate. The hackathon offered a perfect opportunity to bring this vision to life and address the challenges of community engagement and support.

What it Does

Eket WP Hub serves as a comprehensive website for the Eket WordPress Community. It features sections on community goals, team members, upcoming events, and valuable resources. Users can explore information about the community, view details on how to join and participate, and access various WordPress tutorials and guides.

How We Built It

I built Eket WP Hub using Bootstrap to ensure a responsive and modern design. The project involved:

  • Creating a sticky navbar for easy navigation.
  • Designing a hero section with a background image and overlay for a visually appealing introduction.
  • Implementing sections for team introductions, community values, events, and contact information.
  • Utilizing Font Awesome icons and custom styling to enhance the user experience.

Challenges We Ran Into

Some challenges I faced included:

  • Ensuring cross-device compatibility and responsiveness for the hero section and buttons.
  • Balancing aesthetic design with functional requirements.
  • Integrating various content elements and maintaining a cohesive visual identity throughout the site.
