Development Orchestrator Framework

A powerful multi-agent orchestration framework designed for development tasks with parallel processing, dynamic agent creation, and self-learning capabilities.

Features

  • Dynamic Agent Creation: Create specialized agents on-demand based on task requirements
  • Parallel Task Execution: Execute multiple tasks concurrently with configurable limits
  • Self-Learning System: Learn from execution patterns to optimize future performance
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Real-time communication between agents and orchestrator
  • Extensible Agent Base: Easy creation of custom agents for specific domains
  • Task Dependencies: Handle complex workflows with task dependencies and priorities
  • Performance Monitoring: Track agent and system performance metrics

Quick Start

# Install dependencies
npm install

# Start the orchestrator
node agents/orchestrator_controller.js

# Or use PM2 for production
npm start

Creating Custom Agents

const { BaseAgent } = require('./agents/base_agent');

class MyCustomAgent extends BaseAgent {
  constructor(config) {
    super({
      ...config,
      name: 'MyCustomAgent',
      type: 'specialist',
      capabilities: ['custom_task', 'analysis']
    });
  }

  async performTask(task) {
    // Implement your custom task logic
    return { success: true, result: 'Task completed' };
  }
}

CLI Commands

When running the orchestrator, you have access to these commands:

  • status - Display system status and agent information
  • create - Create example development tasks
  • process - Process all queued tasks
  • agent - Create a new dynamic agent
  • parallel - Run parallel execution demo
  • learn - Display learning insights
  • quit - Shutdown the orchestrator

Configuration

Edit config/orchestrator.json to customize:

  • Maximum parallel tasks
  • Maximum number of agents
  • Logging levels
  • Module enable/disable
  • Performance targets

API Integration

The framework can be integrated into existing projects:

const OrchestratorController = require('./agents/orchestrator_controller');

const orchestrator = new OrchestratorController();
await orchestrator.initialize();

// Create and execute tasks
orchestrator.createTask('Build', 'Build the project',
  { target: 'production' },
  ['compilation', 'bundling']
);

const results = await orchestrator.processTasks();

Performance

  • Handles up to 10 parallel tasks by default (configurable)
  • Supports up to 20 concurrent agents
  • Event-driven architecture for real-time responsiveness
  • Automatic agent creation based on workload
