Inspiration

We were inspired by the need for better time management in our own lives. As students, we often struggle with prioritizing tasks—figuring out what’s urgent, what’s important, and what can wait. The Eisenhower Matrix, also known as the Urgent-Important Matrix, offered a simple yet powerful framework to tackle this problem. So, we decided to build a digital version that anyone can use to plan their day more effectively.

What it does

Our web application allows users to:

Organize tasks into four quadrants based on urgency and importance.

Add, update, and delete tasks easily.

Visualize their priorities in a clean and interactive interface.

Focus on what truly matters while reducing stress and procrastination.

How we built it

using bolt.new

Challenges we ran into

  1. Integration with data base.
  2. setting up authentication system.
  3. AI integration.
  4. API integration.
  5. integrating dark mode.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. Successfully turned a productivity concept into a working web application.

  2. Created a minimalist and responsive UI that reflects the logic of the Eisenhower Matrix.

  3. Deployed the project smoothly using Netlify.

  4. Adding dark mode

  5. We integrate local data storage for better privacy and protection.

What we learned

  1. The importance of user experience (UX) and interface clarity.

  2. Time management concepts like the Eisenhower Matrix itself.

  3. How to debug layout and functionality issues more efficiently.

  4. Teamwork.

What's next for Eisenhower Matrix

  1. Enable drag-and-drop between quadrants for more intuitive task organization.
  2. Possibly integrate with Google Tasks or Calendar for real-time productivity syncing.
  3. Make a mobile app version for on-the-go task planning.
  4. We can add reminder as notification.
