Inspiration

As students, we struggle to crack competitive exams. One of the major reasons we fail is that we don't know to what extent we have knowledge of being tested, because the day before our exams, it all seems like common sense. But on examination, our common sense seems to be only common for that period. We always struggle to know the quantity of knowledge we have on a topic.

About Eigen

With Eigen, you can now measure the depth of your knowledge and identify areas that need improvement. This powerful tool provides a comprehensive evaluation that goes beyond common sense, giving you a clear picture of your strengths and weaknesses before the exam. What it does

Takes a body of text or source of information. Generates a question from that text or source of information. It also generates answers to the generated questions. Takes the user's input. Compares the similarity between the generated answer and user input and gives a score accordingly.

How it can be built

The backend of Eigen was made with Python using a combination of QuestAI and text-to-vec models; the front end of Eigen was made with HTML, JS, CSS, and React; and the backend API can be made with the Django Rest Framework.

The inputted data passes through the Quest.AI model and produces a question about the passed data. The answers are also produced from the same model and measured with the help of text2vec's similarity metrics.

What we learned

During this whole hackathon. we experienced immense personal growth and new things about us like Trilo is much comfortable with bringing the idea and execution of the plan while Sapy is comfortable more with the researching part. We also learned how to effectively communicate and collaborate as a team, understanding each other's strengths and weaknesses. This helped us to work together efficiently and achieve our goals. Additionally, we gained valuable skills in problem-solving and critical thinking, which will benefit us in future projects and endeavors.
