About The Project

Ehoumaki Compass is a tiny, privacy‑friendly Android app that helps you face the year’s lucky “Eho” direction for Setsubun. It blends a playful sushi‑roll arrow with a precise compass, smooth animations, and haptic “lock‑on” feedback when you’re aligned.

Inspiration

I love seasonal tools that do one thing beautifully. Setsubun’s “face the lucky direction and eat an ehoumaki” ritual felt perfect for a focused, whimsical utility. I wanted an app that respects privacy and works entirely offline, without location access. A good excuse to dive deeper into Jetpack Compose, sensor APIs, and screenshot automation. What I Built

A Compose app that shows the current year’s Eho direction and guides you there with an animated arrow and tick marks. Haptic “lock‑on” when you’re within ±3°; dark mode and dynamic color support. Tablet‑ready screenshots and Play assets generated from the repo. A small donations screen using Google Play Billing; licenses screen via Google OSS Licenses. aAbout The Project
