Inspiration
My Grandmother started getting covid-19 symptoms such as fever, and headache, with light coughing. We were very worried about her which made a somber feeling in our home, everyone very scared until she talked to a doctor, and made some basic corona tests, which turned out negative. We were very relieved, I still remember how scared we were and then I knew the feeling of uncertainty, how someone you love could potentially be infected with a virus that could end his/her life. So me and my team need to give reassurance and help to everyone who saw such thing, by providing him with at least basic necessities and check-ups.
What it does
Our project has many aims 1) we will make people put some information about themselves such as location, to get to know how many people were infected in each place. And provide them with close hospitals to get quarantined or looked after 2) it allows online consulting with doctors and specialists, (in case you were quarantined in house) what to do, what medicine to take, what to eat and so on. 3) it will also helps in putting more accurate numbers for infected people, deaths, and recoveries 4) this app/website won't only focus on body health (flu, covid19, illness) but it will also look into mental health, physcologist and all types of doctors, because mental health is as important as body health. 5) it will also raise awareness and work on stopping ongoing rumours. 6) we will ask people who have lots of lands, companies to turn them into places for quarantine, and map them for people
How I built it
We will use html as a base also we will use python and java script and maybe Css, we will take some help from people who are better than us in such things, we most likely will use wix.com
Challenges I ran into
We are currently having some difficulties in making the website/app. So we are searching for necessary courses to help us in such things. We also had lots of negative and put out comments on our work and idea, but we researched it through anyway and worked hard for it.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I AM PROUD : ☆ to be a part of this competition and trying to make a change in the world ☆to say that this competition made me more confident and skilled ☆ of all new friendships I made (even with different cultures) ☆ to say that I acquired more knowledge during this competition ☆ to be a change in someone's life
And I will be prouder to know that I helped in saving a life.
What I learned
I learnt working under stress, as well as teaming with people who I didn't know at the beginning, making new friendships, I also learned how to start a small business, as well as depending on oneself in finding a solution, self learning.
What's next for Egy-health
We are still working on the application as it needs lots of time, effort and work. As we just started working, we hope to be able to provide it at least as a website soon. But after finishing it we will start by marketing it and making it more famous.
