Effects of Travel on Team Performance

By analyzing the travel distance, number of days from the last break, and other information to determine the impact of travel on the team's performance

Inspiration

The project is inspired by our mutual love of baseball and the Houston Astros. We hope to provide our favorite team in baseball a new perspective to travel schedules.

How we built it

We collected and cleaned the given data. Then, by adding location information for different ball parks, we calculated the distance of travel and analyzed the correlation between the distance and the team's performance including the number of homeruns and the number of single hits and so on.

Challenges we ran into

There are a lot of outlier which should not be considered in this situation. How to find that data and clean it is a big challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully build the model that illustrate the correlation between travelling and team performance

We learned how to use pandas and other data analyzing tools
