The Housing crisis in the Netherlands :*^)
What it does
Mortgage roadmap coach. Step 1 - Read the payslip image and parses the house you want to buy from funda.nl -> Step 2 - bunq Nest reads your bunq. It knows real transactions, spending habits, savings rates, timelines. No surveys, no guesses, just real data. -> Step 3: AI model that reads all of this context to give you a realistic timeline. Answers questions about the timeline to obtain this mortgage. Uses tools within bunq api. Gives valuable information on how far you are on your journey to owning your first home.
How we built it
It is a feature within the bunq application. UI: React+Vite, FastAPI: AppRunner+ DynamoDB, Claude Vision hosted on Bedrock, Sonnet 4.6 hosted on Bedrock
Challenges we ran into
The whole thing was not working at all until 2 hours before submission, because we built front and back end separately and when we combined them, everything broke, but we fixed it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to plan everything beforehand so there is no ambiguity and then fixing the app on time.
What we learned
We definitely learned spec driven development. How to use the Anthropic, AWS tools and bunq API.
