For this project I wanted to learn the theory of TDA and then apply it to classify brain data. I was able to successfully classify data with 96% accuracy* using only the topology of the data. I was unable to find a way to implement this code in a web app during the allotted timeframe.
I used sklearn the library for the classification and the ripser and persim libraries for the persistence diagrams, and persistence images features.
*(August 8th) After further analysis with a separate dataset I obtained 76% accuracy. This second dataset had not been preprocessed prior to classification.
