Inspiration

In 2021, while working as a representative of Coursera, I noticed that 85% of students were not completing skill courses due to the language barrier and no personalized mentorship available for students. We created a system where students learn concepts to get hired.

What it does

Edversity partners with the top 1% of instructors to create high-impact localized, up-to-date course content with engaging learning practices, student community, and one-on-one mentorship sessions. With our unique and modern learning management system, we aim to unlock employment opportunities for the youth.

How we built it

We built Edversity using advanced WordPress and the Cloud services of Hostinger. In addition, we have utilized our team power to integrate a digital payment collection system using APIs.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge we ran into was the non-availability of fast data.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of our tech product which is now fully-equipped and is available for students. We have also facilitated 670+ students in placements and internships.

What we learned

Teamwork is the key to success. This is the summary of what we have learned in this hackathon. In addition, we got inspired by the Tie Appathon mentorship system and integrated a similar system into the portal.

What's next for Edversity

Edversity is working on a mission to create 10 Million digitally skilled people. For the next 6 months, our prime focus will be on high-end technology education and the boost in our outreach programs. We will target the $13 Trillion 4th Industrial Revolution and Web3 Industry and create mastery specializations in Ethereum 2.0, Artificial Intelligence, and Quantum Computing. In addition, we will extend our outreach activities and incorporate campus ambassadors from universities across the country, who will help us reach the target audience, and ultimately maximize the growth rate.
