Inspiration
Education fosters future generations of leaders and innovators and is the foundation of a nation’s success. Although Indonesia’s schooling system has advanced, a multitude of issues need to be addressed in order for us to truly progress; namely the quality of education and skills development, equity and accessibility.
Millions of youth across Indonesia have attended school but still end up unemployed and not in any form of further education. This is an especially prevalent issue in Eastern Indonesia and rural or underdeveloped regions, where digital infrastructure, educational quality, and exposure to information are limited. Countless talented individuals are left out, lacking equal access to opportunities that are necessary to support their personal and academic growth. These missed opportunities only deepen social inequality and reinforce regional disparities in education and career development.
What it does
Edventure is an AI-powered opportunity matching platform for students aimed to bridge the gap between potential and access. Edventure utilises CV analysis and interest matching to curate personalized recommendations of opportunities such as scholarships, competitions, internships and volunteer programs. We collect and structure data of hundreds of programs, both international and national, to be consulted by our intelligent filtering system. The user’s information scanned from their CV and preferences entered into their textbox are securely stored via Firebase and QDrant, allowing continuous learning and real time recommendation refinement.

Challenges we ran into
Garuda Hacks 6.0 was the first hackathon experience for most of our team members. We thoroughly enjoyed it although we did encounter some difficulties:
- *Technical Hurdles: * We encountered problems with the crawler mechanism, web glitches and bugs while coding. We spent hours of brainstorming and debugging to overcome these obstacles.
- *Bias in Market Research Analysis: * Due to the market trends being influenced by the data from the Covid era, we had to limit our scope to the post Covid era to make sure our estimations were accurate.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite meeting for the first time during the speed dating sessions, we managed to collaborate, through different mindsets and contrasting ideas. We're proud of overcoming our differences and accounting for everyone's ideas in order to create something meaningful for our society.
What we learned
We learnt to collaborate with each other and keep an open mind, combining everyone's ideas to create a final product.

We hope to seek feedback from users and investors and reconnect with colleagues.
