Inspiration : During exam days, many engineering students struggle to find accurate and syllabus-aligned educational videos to study, often leading to inefficient use of time. This inspired us to create EduVerse, a platform that provides a curated collection of educational videos tailored to the syllabus of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). We aim to help students study more efficiently, especially during exam days, by offering a one-stop solution for accurate and syllabus-aligned educational videos.
What it does : EduVerse offers a wide range of educational videos covering various subjects, chapters, and subtopics relevant to the engineering curriculum of SPPU. Students can easily access these videos, which are carefully selected to ensure they align with the university's syllabus. By providing a curated collection of videos, EduVerse aims to make it easier for students to find relevant study material and enhance their learning experience.
How we built it : EduVerse was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend, and Node.js for the backend. We used a combination of custom code and libraries to create a user-friendly interface and ensure smooth functionality. The website is designed to be responsive, allowing students to access educational videos from any device.
Challenges we ran into : One of the main challenges we faced was curating a collection of educational videos that accurately align with the syllabus of SPPU. We also had to ensure that the website's design and functionality met the needs of students and educators. Additionally, integrating the videos and creating a seamless user experience posed its own set of challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of : We are proud to have created a platform that addresses a common challenge faced by engineering students. By providing a curated collection of educational videos, we believe that EduVerse can significantly enhance the learning experience of students associated with SPPU. We are also proud of the user-friendly interface and seamless functionality of the website.
What we learned : Through the process of building EduVerse, we learned the importance of effective curation and organization of educational content. We also gained valuable experience in web development, including frontend and backend technologies. Overall, the project helped us improve our skills and understanding of creating user-focused digital solutions.
What's next for EduVerse : In the future, we plan to expand the content available on EduVerse to cover a wider range of subjects and topics. We also aim to enhance the website's features and functionality based on user feedback. Additionally, we plan to collaborate with educators and experts to further improve the quality and relevance of the educational videos offered on EduVerse.
