We were inspired to develop EduTrivia SA by the need to make learning more engaging and accessible for children in South Africa. Recognizing the challenges students face caused by the visible gap between within the educational infrastructures, staying motivated, and finding curriculum-aligned educational resources, we saw an opportunity to blend technology with education. Our goal was to create a platform that not only reinforces school lessons but also makes the process enjoyable through interactive quizzes, personalized profiles, and rewarding achievements. Additionally, we wanted to foster a sense of community and environmental responsibility among young learners by integrating educational events like beach and street cleanups.

EduTrivia SA works by providing users with a seamless and interactive learning experience through a web application. Users start by creating and personalizing their profiles, including customizing avatars. They can then access a wide range of quizzes tailored to the South African curriculum, segmented by grade levels, and special brain twister quizzes for extra credits. The app features a dedicated workspace where users can organize and track their quiz activities and progress. Settings allow users to customize their app preferences, while the wallet section displays earned credits that can be redeemed for vouchers from popular stores. Real-time notifications keep users informed about updates, new quizzes, and educational events.
