Inspiration: We tackled Knowledge and Collaboration (Problem Statement 2).

What it does:

Our project is an integrated classroom that combines peer discussions, homework practice, and teachings all into one platform.

  • Peer discussions are encouraged in our Review feature, where students are able to peer review each other's homework submissions. Peer review will be done on an interactive whiteboard, where students can discuss why their reviewee's answer is correct/wrong. This makes learning more personalised and also encourages collaborative thinking and engagement amongst students.

  • Teachings can be done through our Live Stream feature, where teachers conduct their online lessons. We have included a Live Quiz function that teachers can enable in their lessons, allowing students to actively participate in classroom discussions instead of passively listening to the content. With these two highlighted features, this helps to increase student engagement with both teacher and peers with more interactive features, while also maintaining effective communication through clear channels such as our interactive whiteboard where information can be clearly presented.

How we built it:

  • Frontend: Built with HTML, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript, EduSync offers a responsive interface styled with a modern dark theme for clarity and focus. Pages like Homework, Students, and Live Stream are modular and component-based.

  • Quiz + Livestream UI: The Live Stream page simulates a real-time video conferencing interface with embedded quiz prompts, MCQ options, and a Zoom-style control bar, enhancing interactivity.

  • Participant Grid: Avatars and names are dynamically displayed with active indicators and speaker highlights, mimicking real-time presence in a video call.

  • Navigation Architecture: A reusable sidebar navigation system routes users across key features like Announcements, Submissions, and Videos—all rendered in single-page layout style.
