Inspiration

Teachers at my high school, during the coronavirus forced closings, were expressing that they had never taught an online class before and thus did not know how to teach digitally. I built Edurona, because I wanted to help solve this problem by providing teachers with a platform to educate and then access their students knowledge autonomously online.

What it does

Edurona is a tool that allows teachers to build educational "playlists" which house articles, videos, and tests for their students use. Teachers can create different lessons within their class, in order to provide a complete and full learning experience.

How I built it

I built the front-end of Edurona using the javascript framework React, and I used Firebase for authentication and the database.

Challenges I ran into

I had a little bit of an issue working within the time crunch that I was given.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of my ability to work within the time crunch that I was given for this project.

What I learned

I better learned how to plan for a project and then execute according to the plan on a time constraint.

What's next for Edurona

I want to fix the bugs and add the ability for students to track their progress within their classes, as well as submit pictures to verify they completed the tests.
