The Story of EduRelief

The Inspiration While researching educational accessibility, I discovered a startling statistic: an estimated 60% of scholarships designed for specific demographics or low-income families go unused every year. The problem isn't a lack of funding—it’s an information gap. Students and their parents often feel overwhelmed by fragmented government portals, NGO websites, and local fine print. Seeing a family struggle to navigate these "hidden" opportunities inspired me to create EduRelief, a centralized hub designed to turn confusion into clarity.

How I Built It The project was built with a focus on user-centric design and data organization. *Frontend: Developed using a responsive framework to ensure students can search for aid on any device. *Search Engine: I implemented a "smart filter" system that categorizes aid based on four key pillars: Academic Rewards, Fee Waivers, Tool/Book Support, and Specialized Schemes (e.g., for girls or minority groups). *Data Structure: I structured the database to prioritize "at-a-glance" information, such as deadlines, amounts, and eligibility tags, to reduce the cognitive load on the user.

The Challenges & Learning I learned that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Initially, the dashboard was too cluttered; I had to strip away unnecessary features to focus on the "Find Scholarships" core loop.
