EduReach Pitch

We were inspired by other tutoring apps such as Khan Academy and platforms for communication such as Zoom to make our application pitch. EduReach addresses the prevalent issues of language barriers within our education system, resource availability in different languages, and support systems that allow FGLI students to have the education they need. Additionally, standardized education systems often hinder the learning process of FGLI students, but EduReach allows for a personalized, unique learning experience for any student of any background, giving students all the support needed to be successful in the future. We built EduReach around the premise that EduReach allows both tutors and tutees to come together on a platform that connects their interactions- whether it be through features including 1:1 video sessions, chat conversations, whiteboard visualizations, community events, language matching, personalized courses, and more to provide FGLI students with a variety of tools and resources to attain knowledge and valuable insights into common concepts and subjects of their choice. We took away from this pitch that FGLI students are in need of resources that the status quo cannot sufficiently provide for, and applications like EduReach provide students a start to building foundations of knowledge that would have otherwise been unbeknownst to them, allowing these students to unlock the larger sense of their educational potential through help from the resources around them, and not just from what meets the eye. Because of the immense range of languages and resources available on EduReach, we believe the app has a very high potential to be incredibly successful and helpful to many FGLI students. We believe that the app will expand and include much more features, such as a website that can be developed with very similar features to the app or even a facility similar to Kumon or Mathnasium can be established, where tutors are dedicated to helping FGLI students in a much more personal manner. In the future, as much as EduReach will “reach” more of the world, FGLI students will “reach” as much of their educational potential as well.
