Inspiration
EduraZ was inspired by a simple problem: people want to learn new skills, but they often feel lost and overwhelmed when trying to figure out where to start. When someone decides to become a software engineer, designer, or enter a new field, they usually don’t know what to learn first, what comes next, or how to structure their learning journey. EduraZ was created to bring clarity and direction to that process by turning goals into structured learning paths.
What it does
EduraZ is an AI-powered learning operating system that turns a user’s goal into a structured roadmap. The user enters what they want to learn, their level, and how much time they can dedicate. The platform then generates a phased learning path with milestones, daily routines, skill breakdowns, and curated resources to guide them from idea to execution. Users can save roadmaps, track progress, and better understand how to move step by step toward their goals.
How we built it
We built EduraZ as a full-stack web application using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the frontend. Supabase is used for authentication, database storage, and edge functions that support roadmap generation and chat features. The system is designed to be fast, simple, and easy to use while handling dynamic content generation behind the scenes.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was designing a system that feels simple and intuitive for users while managing complex roadmap generation in the background. Another challenge was working with limited API resources while still making the product functional and presentable. We also focused on performance and keeping the interface clean so users don’t feel overwhelmed.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully built a working prototype that can generate structured learning roadmaps based on user goals. We created a system where users can save their plans, view past roadmaps, and interact with their learning path. Turning a big idea into a real, usable product is something we’re proud of.
What we learned
We learned how to design a product around a real problem people face when trying to learn new skills. We gained experience building a full-stack application, integrating backend services, and focusing on user experience, performance, and structure at the same time.
What's next for EduraZ
Our next goal is to expand EduraZ into a complete learning operating system. We plan to improve roadmap quality, add better resource discovery, flashcards, notes, and progress tracking so users can plan, execute, and stay consistent while learning new skills.
