Inspiration

This TED Talk that was made by Sal Khan (How AI could save, not destroy education) inspired our solution by opening our eyes and emphasizing how AI can personalize learning, providing real-time feedback and tailored support to students. This approach resonated with us, leading to the development of Edura, solution that leverages AI to adapt to diverse learning styles, ensuring every student has access to a supportive and engaging educational experience

What it does

This AI chatbot can do the following things, /ai-tutor; This command allows you to ask any question that you want to our bot.

/educational-resource-hub; This command gets you useful links that can help you with your studies.

/flashcard-generator; This command generates flashcards based on a topic of your choice.

/note-enhancing-platform; This command allows you to input your notes, and it will add on to them, with more detail and clarity.

/quiz; This command generates a quiz based off of a topic of your choice.

/study-clock-app; This command sets up a Pomodoro session for you, with times of your choosing.

How we built it

We first built a website bot by using Chatbase.co, then using NextJS and Tailwind CSS, we created a simple website (https://eduraai.vercel.app/). Lastly, we made a Discord integration of our bot, using the Discord.py library

Challenges we ran into

A challenge we had was having issues with discord.py, since it was very annoying to connect to due to connection issues. We did eventually move some things around to get the API to work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of our website, we implemented our workshop of NextJS very well, and we also managed to get our Discord integration to work even after the struggles to connect to the API

What we learned

We learned a lot about competitive programming, since it was our whole teams first hackathon. Furthermore, we learned how to make a discord bot, how to integrate googles Gemini API, how website gradients work, etc.
