Inspiration
Many children in remote villages miss out on quality education due to no internet or schools far away. I wanted to create a solution that brings learning directly to them anytime, anywhere.
What it does
EduPods are smart tablets with an AI tutor that helps kids learn at their own pace without needing internet. The AI understands each child’s struggles and adapts lessons to make learning fun and effective.
How I built it
I designed the system to work offline with a 12-hour battery and update content through USB drives. We focused on easy-to-use AI and durable hardware for rural environments.
Challenges I ran into
Training local adults takes time, and keeping hardware safe from dust and heat is tough. Also, some kids might rely too much on AI help instead of thinking independently.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Creating an affordable, offline AI learning tool that works without internet and can serve many children at once.
What I learned
Technology must fit local needs and conditions to really succeed. Offline AI is powerful but needs human support and community involvement.
What's next for EduPods
Expand to more countries, add vocational training, improve hardware durability, and build partnerships with schools and NGOs to reach 100,000+ kids in 5 years.
