Inspiration :

Educators often spend a lot of time organizing learning materials from PDFs, textbooks, lecture notes, presentations, and reference links. At the same time, students have different knowledge levels, learning speeds, language abilities, and learning preferences. This inspired us to develop EduPilot AI, a smart learning solution that makes teaching and learning more personalized, flexible, and effective.

What it does :

EduPilot AI helps educators transform scattered educational resources into structured and personalized learning content.

  • Collects and organizes learning materials from different sources.
  • Generates simplified explanations and structured learning content.
  • Adapts learning materials according to students' knowledge levels and learning needs.
  • Modifies the PDFs sent by teachers based on each student's performance, creating personalized materials specifically for that student.
  • Supports different learning preferences, languages, and learning speeds.
  • Helps educators update and modify content when classroom requirements change.
  • Supports educators in reviewing students' understanding and learning progress.

How we built it :

We designed EduPilot AI as an AI-powered learning platform that processes educational resources and converts them into meaningful learning content. The system organizes the available information, uses AI to generate explanations suited to different learning needs, and presents the content through a user-friendly interface. Educators can review and modify the generated content to ensure that it meets their teaching objectives.

Challenges we ran into :

  • Organizing educational materials from different formats and sources.
  • Generating accurate, relevant, and easy-to-understand explanations.
  • Adapting learning content to students with different knowledge levels and learning speeds.
  • Handling changes in classroom requirements without recreating all the content.
  • Maintaining the quality of AI-generated content while keeping educators in control.

Accomplishments that we're proud of :

  • Developed the concept of a personalized AI-powered learning assistant.o
  • Designed a solution to transform scattered educational resources into structured learning content.
  • Focused on supporting students with different learning needs and preferences.
  • Prioritized educator control, flexibility, and student-centered learning.
  • Established a foundation for making educational content easier to prepare, access, and understand.

What we learned :

We learned that effective AI-based education involves more than generating content. It requires understanding students' different learning needs, organizing reliable educational resources, producing useful explanations, and keeping educators involved in the learning process. We also learned the importance of designing a flexible solution that can adapt when learning requirements change.

What's next for EduPilot AI :

AI-Generated Educational Videos: Convert PDF content into short, topic-based educational videos with visual explanations to make difficult concepts easier to understand. Voice-Based Learning: Allow students to listen to explanations through AI-generated voice narration and ask questions using voice input. Interactive Doubt Solving: Provide step-by-step answers and additional examples for difficult topics.

posted an update —

I worked on the full-stack development of EduPilot AI, focusing on PDF document processing, backend integration, and AI-powered learning features. I implemented the PDF text extraction pipeline to prepare study materials for AI processing, integrated a Generative AI API to support educational assistance, and worked with Python, Firebase, and Supabase Storage to connect the backend and document management workflows. This helped bring the core learning features of EduPilot AI together into one platform.
