Inspiration

When we were thinking of a problem, a thought that kept on circling around our minds were the many issues teachers face, especially in India, related to monitoring student progress.

What it does

It contains a AI-Enabled Quiz Generator and a Attendance recorder to help out teachers. These tools were the primary tools we thought was important in monitoring student progress. We also have started on a basic CRM manager to manage Invoices for various fees and fines from students.

How we built it

We built it by first building a separated attendance tracker+Homepage and quiz generator+backend. We then linked these two parts together.

Challenges we ran into

The first challenge we ran into was GitHub (Ironically, it is one of the sponsors). Ansh's GitHub was malfunctioning and my Mac was having pull-push-commit problems with the repository. But we made do with WhatsApp and Web-based GitHub. :)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We've made a website that is easy-to-use and reduces a lot of work from the teacher's viewpoint, which is important in an education environment that demands a high labour output from teachers, which can become stressful and hence reduce their teaching productivity.

What we learned

We've learned that web development is not just about 1 hour meetings that make features one-by-one, but about round-the-clock, live collaboration and programming. It's not about making a feature and calling it a day, but continous work and effort from all to build an application and calling it a day.

What's next for Edunav

We plan to add a 'MarkLoad' feature - That downloads Markdown reports of quizes and attendance

AI use

We used A.I. for debugging purposes and to help us get over points in the programming where we got stuck. We used GPT-OSS-20b from the 'groq' library. Very little of the CSS of the homepage and the random data for the attendance was also made by A.I..
