Inspiration
Teachers juggle lesson planning, grading, and student tracking, often sacrificing time that could be spent mentoring students. We wanted to reduce this burden using AI, making teaching more efficient and personalized.
What it does
EduLift is an AI-powered teaching assistant that helps educators: Generate structured lesson plans instantly Create quizzes and automate grading with AI Analyze student performance and provide actionable insights Personalize learning support by identifying strengths and weaknesses Perform progress analysis of students based on CSV data
How we built it
Frontend: Built with Next.js & Tailwind CSS for a sleek, responsive UI AI Integration: Used Microsoft Copilot AI for automation Data Processing: Attempted Azure ML for predictive analysis but later refined insights using Copilot Student Performance Analysis: Developed a CSV-based data processing system to track progress Automation (Planned): Designed a Power Automate workflow for cloud-based file retrieval and report generation
Challenges we ran into
Integrating Azure ML for student performance predictions was complex and required more data training Full cloud automation with Power Automate wasn't completed due to time constraints Ensuring seamless AI grading accuracy across diverse student responses Processing and interpreting CSV student performance data efficiently
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully implemented AI-driven lesson planning, quiz generation, and grading Built a scalable and user-friendly platform using Next.js & Tailwind Created a functional prototype that streamlines educator workflows Developed an AI-powered student analysis tool that provides meaningful insights Processed CSV-based student data to analyze progress trends
What we learned
AI can significantly reduce teacher workload and improve education efficiency Training AI on real student performance data will enhance its predictive power Seamless automation is key, and integrating Power Automate fully would be a game-changer User experience matters—educators need a tool that’s intuitive and effortless to use CSV-based student data analysis can offer valuable insights into progress tracking
What's next for EduLift
Train AI on real student data for better accuracy in performance analysis Complete cloud integration so EduLift works directly with teachers' cloud storage Expand AI capabilities—adaptive learning suggestions, speech-based AI for interactive support Deploy at scale and test in real-world classrooms for feedback & improvements
