Inspiration

The current exam process is highly manual. Teachers spend a significant amount of time creating exams and grading student papers. This often leads to delays, inconsistencies in grading, and limited feedback for students.

We aimed to design a solution that automates these tasks using artificial intelligence, improving efficiency and ensuring fair evaluation.

What it does

EduFlow AI is a platform that automates the entire exam workflow.

It generates exams based on subject, level, and learning objectives. It also processes scanned exam papers, extracts student answers, evaluates them, and assigns scores.

The system provides structured results and detailed feedback, while also classifying students based on their performance.

Challenges we ran into

We faced several technical challenges during development.

OCR accuracy was limited when processing low-quality or handwritten documents. Managing API usage and handling response delays required optimization. Interpreting open-ended answers using AI while maintaining consistency was also complex.

Ensuring smooth processing of multiple documents in a short time was another key challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a working system that integrates OCR and AI into a complete automated workflow.

The platform can generate exams, process scanned answers, assign scores, and produce structured outputs.

We also achieved a simple and functional user interface that demonstrates the full process clearly.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate multiple technologies into a single pipeline.

We gained experience using AI models for both content generation and evaluation. We also understood the importance of data preprocessing, especially for OCR tasks.

Additionally, we improved our ability to design solutions focused on real-world problems.
