💡 Inspiration
As students, reading hundreds of pages of dense textbooks before exams takes up hours of precious time. Traditional reading often leads to poor memory retention. We were inspired to build "EduEase AI" to solve this exact problem by transforming long study materials into quick, interactive, and high-yield study decks in under 60 seconds!
🛠️ What It Does
"EduEase AI" is an intelligent study assistant designed to streamline learning: PDF & Lecture Summarizer: Extracts high-yield bullet notes from books or audio lectures. Auto-Flashcards: Creates active-recall flashcard decks automatically. Interactive Quiz Generator:Generates custom MCQs tailored to exam difficulty.
⚙️ How We Built It
Ideation: Researched student pain points and designed a clear user flow for automated study decks. Design & Branding: Created visual pitch slides, flowcharts, and brand concepts using Canva. Prototyping: Structured the NLP model logic for how raw text gets parsed into bullet summaries and flashcards.
🚧 Challenges We Faced
- Filtering Core Information: Structuring an AI concept to pick only high-yield exam points without losing context.
- User Experience: Designing a clean interface so students can revise without distraction.
- Time Constraints: Putting together a comprehensive proposal, presentation deck, and thumbnail within the hackathon timeline.
🧠 What We Learned
How to evaluate real-world educational problems through the lens of AI. The importance of active recall in student retention. How to effectively structure and pitch a technical proposal clearly.
🔮 What's Next for EduEase AI
IIf given the opportunity, funding, or sponsorship in the future, we plan to bring this proposed concept to life as a fully functional application:
MVP Development: Building a working Web & Mobile Application MVP for real-world student testing.
Localized Language Support: Adding Urdu and regional language translation for students across Pakistan.
AI Voice Tutor: Integrating an interactive AI voice assistant that explains complex textbook formulas step-by-step.
Institutional Partnerships: Partnering with universities and colleges to offer EduEase AI as a smart revision tool for students.
