Having recently gone through the college application and enrollment process, we felt that it would have been a lot easier, and more efficient, if we were able to find all the resources we needed in one place.
eduConnect helps incoming college students with the college transition process such as finding roommates, getting questions answered by university admin and finding potential student clubs to join.
We first created our wireframes on Figma and then used React to start building various components to our application.
A challenge we ran into was running out of time. If we had managed our time better by spending less time on Figma and more time developing, we believe that we would have been able to finish a majority of the project.
An accomplishment we're proud of is our UI/UX on Figma. This was our first time using it and we're proud of how detailed we were able to make our mock ups.
Through this project, we were able to build a stronger foundation with React and web development in general.
In terms of what's next for eduConnect, we're hoping to continue building the web application by finishing the chat feature as well as the roommate feature.
