Want to learn something new, but don't know where to start? Enter the educational buttons!
What it does
The educational buttons, upon click, take you to a randomized educational website for you to learn something new! The informative button provides you with informative information. The trivia button provides interesting topics that you wouldn't often learn in school curriculums.
How we built it
We are very new to programming and completely new to web development. We built the website with HTML/CSS and used Javascript for the randomization.
Challenges we ran into
We were having problems implementing the randomization function from Javascript into our website. But after some trial and error, we were able to figure it out.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we were able to create a website with so limited amount of knowledge of web development.
What we learned
We learned a lot about web development. Coming into this without prior knowledge, everything was a big challenge that we were able to overcome and learn from.
What's next for Educational Buttons
We want to expand to more buttons. We would possibly like to offer more custom randomized button functions, like only outputting pages about biology, or ranking the buttons based on the difficulty of their outputted material.
