Inspiration

Staying indoors all day has been quite challenging with limited access to educational resources, low network coverage and power supply. Less effort is being made to help we the students cope with our studies.

As the day progresses, students tend to forget even the slightest thing such as our student identification number(Matriculation number), what more can be said about our studies and I miss my school library.

So we decided to build a friendly website that allows a one on one interaction between teachers and students, and where students can get necessary updates and educational resources at their finger tips.

## What it does

It allows students to subscribe to courses being offered on the dashboard, to get updates relating to their chosen courses and other relevant information when uploaded by the teacher.

It makes available education resources in different formats such as lesson videos and notes, audios, visuals,text(ppt,word,pdf and doc formats) and slideshows uploaded by the teacher.

It provides an icon button for Course, Assignment, Materials, Timetable, Quiz/Assessment and Notification.

It notifies the student on lesson scheduled for each day based on the timetable and relevant updates as well.

It provides a live chat and video option for real-time interaction between teacher and student .

In a scenario where a student misses an online session, he/she can catch up, since the session will be recorded,and watch at his/her convenience.

## How we built it

It is built with html, Css, javascript, Node js for back-end, a sprinkle of glitch and a spice of love and support from everyone. For Database,we used firebase For hosting, we used heroku We made used of our faculty and departmental course codes and titles from level 200 - 500 and lecturers name.

## Challenges we ran into

We are used to physical hackathon, this is our first online hackathon, so it was quite overwhelming but we achieved our goals. We had a little bit of communication issue because of distance while working on this project.
