Education is Evolving

We are redefining learning with immersive technology. Our project integrates Augmented Reality (AR) with interactive storytelling, gamified testing, and AI-driven chatbots to create a fully immersive learning experience.

Inspiration

Traditional learning methods often struggle to keep students engaged. We wanted to make education more interactive, fun, and effective using AR. Inspired by the potential of immersive technology, we designed an experience where students: 1.Learn through an engaging AR-driven story. 2.Test their knowledge with an interactive AR shooting game. 3.Receive guidance from an AI-powered AR chatbot.

What it does

AR Storytelling with Tom & Jerry 🐭🐱: Children follow an adventure where Tom & Jerry explore space, teaching them about planets, stars, and space travel.

Gamified Testing with an AR Shooting Game 🚀🎯: Kids answer solar system-related questions by shooting correct answers in an AR-powered game.

AI Chatbot for Learning Assistance 🤖💡: The chatbot answers questions, explains concepts, and guides children through their space journey.

How we built it

Tools & Technologies Used: Unity & C# – For AR development. AR Foundation – To create engaging AR experiences. Convai AI – For AI chatbot responses. Blender – For 3D assets of planets and characters.

Development Process: 1.Designed an AR-based space adventure featuring Tom & Jerry as guides. 2.Built an interactive shooting game where kids answer quiz questions. 3.Developed an AI chatbot to provide real-time feedback and hints.

Challenges we ran into

1.Making AR Fun Yet Educational – Balancing entertainment with learning. 2.Time Constraints – Implementing multiple AR features in 24 hours. 3.Optimizing for Kids' Engagement – Keeping interactions simple and exciting. 4.Chatbot Development – Due to time constraints, we could not fully integrate the AR version of the chatbot. However, the normal version is working perfectly. Setting up the AR environment for the chatbot turned out to be more challenging than expected. 5.Developed each phase as a separate APK due to time constraints, as we didn't have time to combine all three phases into one unified app.

1.Created an engaging AR learning experience for children. 2.Successfully integrated storytelling, gaming, and AI into one platform. 3.Optimized AR animations for a smooth, fun user experience. 4.Made learning the solar system fun and interactive!

What we learned

We learned how to effectively combine education and entertainment, ensuring that learning remains fun and engaging. The power of storytelling in immersive learning became evident as we saw how narratives could capture children's attention while teaching complex concepts. We also focused on optimizing AR experiences for young learners, making sure the technology was intuitive and enjoyable. Lastly, we gained experience in creating AI-driven interactions, providing real-time learning support to enhance the overall educational experience.

What's next for Education redefined through immersive AR

We plan to expand the project by introducing more educational topics, allowing children to explore subjects beyond the solar system, such as history, math, and biology. We'll also focus on enhancing interactivity with more game-based learning elements, making each lesson more immersive and engaging. Additionally, we aim to refine the AI chatbot for personalized, real-time learning, and work on integrating all phases into a single app for a seamless experience. Ultimately, we hope to revolutionize the way children learn through the power of immersive AR, creating an interactive, future-ready learning environment.
