Inspiration

  1. United Nations - Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work.

  2. The U.S., which had some of the highest graduation rates of any developed country, now ranks 22nd out of 27 developed countries - BANCHERO, STEPHANIE. "High-School Graduation Rate Inches Up." The Wall Street Journal.

What it does

Do the educators have instant insights into students, teachers, and schools' performance and progress? How much are the U.S. government initiatives to promote education, mainly STEM, successful?

All the information required to provide insights at every level is available, not presented the right way.

The web-based, too, and data science models that I am proposing would address the issue to a large extent by customizing the information at individual, class, school, city, and state levels.

How we built it

The web-based tool and data science solution is a proposal at this point. Building insights with regular web pages and data science isn't an overwhelming task and is something that has been accomplished in other areas.

Challenges we ran into

It could be additional work to transfer paper tests online in some cases. Some automated processes could cost extra money.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The instant insights would help the schools to see improvements in a much quicker way.

What we learned

All the research that I did points toward how powerful data and technologies that provide insights can be.
