Inspiration

STEM education should be engaging, collaborative, and accessible to every student. However, many students struggle because learning resources are fragmented across different platforms, and access to personalized academic support is often limited. We wanted to create a single learning ecosystem where students can study together, receive instant AI-powered assistance, and better understand complex STEM concepts. Class5 AI was inspired by the vision of making quality STEM education available anytime, anywhere through the power of artificial intelligence.

What it does

Class5 AI is an AI-powered collaborative STEM learning platform that helps students learn more effectively through personalized tutoring and real-time collaboration.

Students can:

Ask STEM-related questions and receive AI-generated explanations. Upload notes and generate concise summaries. Join study groups and collaborate with peers. Participate in voice and video study sessions. Access an AI assistant during study sessions for instant academic support. Track learning progress and stay organized.

How we built it

We built Class5 AI using modern web technologies and AI services.

Frontend Next.js React Tailwind CSS Backend Node.js API-based architecture AI Features OpenAI models for tutoring, explanations, and note summarization. Intelligent prompt engineering for STEM-focused responses. Collaboration Features Real-time messaging and study rooms. Voice and video communication capabilities. Shared learning environments for group study. Data Management Cloud-based storage and user management. Structured learning data and progress tracking.

The platform was designed to provide a seamless learning experience while keeping AI assistance available throughout the learning journey.

What we learned
