Inspiration

We were inspired by how students often struggle with long, complex STEM notes and limited guidance when revising for exams. Learning becomes time-consuming when students have to manually break down concepts and search for explanations. We wanted to build a tool that makes STEM learning faster, clearer, and more interactive using AI.

What it does

EduBoost AI is an AI-powered STEM learning assistant designed to simplify studying.

It helps students:

  • Upload or input long notes and get clear summaries
  • Understand difficult STEM concepts through simple explanations
  • Generate quizzes for revision and practice
  • Improve learning through structured, interactive study support

How we built it

We built EduBoost AI using a modern web application stack integrated with AI capabilities.

Key components include:

  • A user-friendly frontend for uploading and interacting with study material
  • AI-powered text processing for summarization and explanation
  • Prompt engineering to generate accurate and student-friendly responses
  • A quiz generation system to help with revision and testing understanding

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was ensuring the AI outputs were both accurate and easy for students to understand. Another challenge was organizing multiple features (summarization, explanation, and quizzes) into a smooth and simple user experience without overwhelming the user.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of building a system that combines multiple learning tools into one platform. Transforming complex STEM content into simplified learning materials using AI is a major achievement. We also successfully created a structured learning flow that improves study efficiency.

What we learned

We learned how to effectively apply AI to real educational problems and how to design systems that improve learning experiences. We also gained experience in prompt engineering, user experience design, and structuring multi-feature applications.

What's next for EduBoost AI

Next, we plan to add personalized learning paths based on student performance, smarter AI tutoring support, performance tracking, and collaborative study features to make STEM learning even more adaptive and powerful.
