Inspiration

Students often have their assignments, notes, subjects, deadlines, study sessions, and progress spread across different apps. We wanted to create one place where students could manage their academic life without needing multiple tools.

That idea inspired us to build EduBoard PRO — a modern student productivity dashboard that combines academic organization, focused studying, analytics, and gamification in one platform.

What it does

EduBoard PRO works as a personal academic command center.

Students can:

Manage assignments and deadlines
Organize subjects and track progress
Create, edit, search, and delete notes
Use a built-in Pomodoro timer for focused study sessions
View productivity and academic analytics through interactive charts
Receive notifications for important activities
Unlock achievements as they complete goals
Switch between light and dark mode
Keep their data saved using browser LocalStorage
Use the application comfortably on desktop, tablet, and mobile

The goal is to make studying more organized, focused, and motivating.

How we built it

We built EduBoard PRO as a frontend web application using React and JavaScript.

For the interface, we used Tailwind CSS to create a clean blue-and-white SaaS-style design with responsive layouts, reusable UI components, cards, navigation, modals, and interactive elements.

We added charts to visualize academic and productivity data, while browser LocalStorage allows assignments, notes, subjects, preferences, achievements, and other application data to persist between sessions.

The application was designed around a dashboard architecture so that students can quickly access the features they need without navigating through complicated interfaces.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was bringing many different features into one application while keeping the experience simple and intuitive.

We had to manage multiple types of application data, including assignments, subjects, notes, Pomodoro sessions, notifications, achievements, and analytics.

Another challenge was creating a responsive dashboard that remained easy to use on smaller mobile screens while still providing a rich desktop experience.

We also had to make sure that LocalStorage data stayed synchronized with the application's UI whenever users created, updated, completed, or deleted information.

We're proud of creating a complete student productivity platform rather than a simple static dashboard.
