My name is Yusup, and I’m joining this hackathon from Turkmenistan, a country where the software development field is still in its early stages of growth. I’m participating in this event not only to challenge myself but also to contribute to the development of the tech ecosystem in my homeland. I believe that being part of such an inspiring global community will help me gain the knowledge and motivation to bring meaningful change back home.
For this hackathon, I’m presenting my project called Edubase. To be honest, it might not seem overly impressive compared to some of the cutting-edge innovations out there, but in the context of Turkmenistan, it’s a pioneering step forward. Edubase is a Django-based web platform designed to allow students to freely share and download educational materials in the Turkmen language. Its core purpose is to create an accessible, community-driven resource hub for learners. What makes it special is the inclusion of an AI-powered chatbot that assists users, answers questions, and provides guidance. Additionally, I’ve added features to keep users engaged, such as motivational tools and interactive elements to encourage consistent participation.
This project is a small but meaningful start for me. It’s my way of addressing the lack of localized, tech-driven educational tools in Turkmenistan while exploring the potential of software to empower students. I’m excited to showcase Edubase here, learn from others, and hopefully refine it into something that can truly make a difference.
