What it does

How we built it## Inspiration

EduAccess AI was inspired by the urgent need to break the invisible learning walls faced by students with disabilities in traditional classrooms. Hearing about the daily struggles of hearing-impaired and neurodivergent learners motivated us to leverage modern artificial intelligence to build a truly inclusive, responsive ecosystem where no student is left behind.

What it does

EduAccess AI is an all-in-one accessibility suite for education. It connects directly to live classroom audio and instantly generates a real-time, responsive 3D Sign Language digital avatar for hearing-impaired students. It also features a Dyslexia Study Mode with custom typography, spacing, and a Line Focus tool to eliminate cognitive fatigue, alongside an advanced Text-to-Speech tool that converts complex visual learning data into clear human audio.

How we built it

We developed EduAccess AI by building a custom AI pipeline optimized for low-latency processing. The backend efficiently processes live educational audio feeds and maps them directly to responsive 3D avatar animations, while the frontend is structured to handle dynamic UI rendering for our Dyslexia and Speech engines. We utilized large language models for real-time translation and content summarization.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest hurdles was ensuring the technical translations remained 100% accurate, as AI hallucination or wrong sign language translations can completely disrupt learning. Optimizing real-time synchronization between the teacher's live voice and the 3D avatar's movements under a tight hackathon timeline also required massive effort and rigorous pipeline tuning.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud of successfully building a fully functional, end-to-end accessibility ecosystem that addresses multiple learning barriers simultaneously. We managed to create a highly robust human-in-the-loop architectural design that gives teachers full control over data accuracy, delivering a project that has a genuine, life-changing human impact.

What we learned

This project deeply expanded our expertise in structuring responsive AI workflows and handling multi-modal data streams under high pressure. We learned the critical value of human-centric technical design, agile collaboration within our team, and how to successfully manage and deploy complex prompt structures for real-world impact.

What's next for EduAccess Ai

Moving forward, our agency, CogniVast, is fully dedicated to launching EduAccess AI across local schools to create measurable social impact. We plan to expand our 3D avatar library for multi-lingual sign languages, implement deep personalization dashboards for educators, and scale the entire platform to empower students globally.
