Inspiration
Our inspiration came from wanting a social media platform where admin and students can communicate in a school, district, and state level. We wanted these platform to allow the user to share information about school events, issues, and announcements.
What it does
It allows students and admin after logging in to choose which page they want to access from the student page, district page, or state page. In these pages announcements and events can be seen as well as being able to create a post.
How we built it
We built it using html, CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
A challenge we ran into was creating a database to hold information such as login information. We also ran into challenges of how to post.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the website in general because the majority of the group had little to no experience in html, CSS, and JavaScript. We are also proud of being able to log into the website and user information being saved.
What we learned
We learned how to use local storage as a substitute for a database and the majority of the group learned how to use these languages for web design.
What's next for Edu Pub
Next for Edu Pub is fixing the website for maximum use. We want to add comments to the posts as well as more settings for the user to enjoy.
