Inspiration

Our goal was to give students the opportunity to learn coding and math skills in a supportive environment that gives them the opportunity to practice as much material as they want.

What it does

&EDU generates coding and math based puzzles based on the prompts and documents given to it. It will create multiple problems covering the subjects given to it and provide an explanation of what is happening within the problems. This gives the user an endless amount of learning material.

How we built it

We utilized the React 19 Framework to build the frontend with JSX and JSON, and used mainly python for the backend with Gemini-3.1-Flash-Lite worked in.

Challenges we ran into

Our main challenge was hosting the website and the AI usage. As the free Gemini-3.1-Flash-Lite model is not meant for lots of simultaneous traffic, it is difficult to host the website with an already integrated Gemini API Key. Because of this the user has to download their own Gemini API Key if they want to use the website. This also applies for the ElevenLabs AI system. The website is also locally hosted which means they also need hardware strong enough to host the website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of our project and believe that it could be a beneficial tool for coding and math students of all levels. We believe the dynamic workspace is very special and that combined with its ability to adapt to any material within the given categories, that we could assist student learning.

What we learned

We learned how to utilize Json frameworks, integrate API key's into public projects without compromising their security, and how to locally host websites that we have created.

What's next for &EDU

&EDU is currently significant for Math and Programming learning, but could be expanded into more fields of study. We may incorporate other subjects in science fields and maybe even beyond that. If we continue with the project our next subject will most likely be physics or chemistry.
