Inspiration

We surveyed students and asked them about their biggest problem with online classes. A popular one was that they were unable to keep track of their assignments and projects. Having faced a similar issue, we decided to build edU Manage

What it does

edU Manage is an application built help students do homework and projects. We use folders and a search feature to make it organized so a student can easily navigate his/hers assignments/projects.

How we built it

We built edU Manage with the outsystems api, using css and Javascript for the data. With features like buttons, lists forms and hyperlinks, we are able to build a clean and efficient user interface.

Challenges we ran into

Time constraint- We had very less time to finish such a daunting task. Time zones- Living in 3 different time zones, we had problems with communication and flow of work. OS- OutSystems is Windows-only, and with one of our team member using a macbook, it was hard for him to implement features.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing such a daunting task before the deadline. The ease of use of the user interface, and the fact that we were able to learn so much about app development in such a short amount of time.

What we learned

How to build mobile application- Many of us were unfamiliar with app development, so this gave us an opportunity to learn. We also learned about the amount of work that goes behind a simple app.
