EDM Jingle

Inspiration

This song is inspired by other songs that I've personally made in the past.

How we built it

The patterns were made on FL Studio using plugins such as Omnisphere, Serum and Flex. The MIDI for these patterns was created by myself. The song uses Cymatics sound packs for Drums. The only external sound used was for the https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/jingle-bells-107671/.

The song was then added to EarSketch and composed using Python (manly the fitMedia function from earsketch and a wrapper function)

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge I ran into was adding swing to the Jingle Bells sound so that the triplets play a lot closer to each other and give off the iconic Christmas-y sound. This is the main reason why I opted for using pre-made patterns instead of creating them directly inside EarSketch.
