Update: Required Evidence of Neurodivergent User Involvement (She Just Replied)

Since we cannot edit the main locked submission description, we are officially adding the required evidence of real neurodivergent user testing here for the judges.

Who was involved: My neurodivergent aunt, who has ADHD and sensory processing differences. She frequently struggles with traditional video editing software due to cognitive overload.

What she told us: When she tested the early prototype of EditOS, she told me that the initial interface was still too visually cluttered. She mentioned that she felt overwhelmed before she even typed her first command, and she wasn't sure where to focus her eyes.

How it changed the build: Based on her feedback, I stripped the UI down entirely. I removed all unnecessary menus, expanded the input field to take up most of the screen, and added a highly visible, simple placeholder prompt to guide her instantly. I also increased the contrast of the text so she wouldn't lose her visual anchor while typing.

Her input was not a checkbox, it fundamentally redesigned the layout of EditOS to reduce sensory friction from the very first second of use.
