Edifecs BlueButton on FHIR

Inspiration

The BlueButton portal is build to showcase the capabilities of Edifecs Engine in regards to the BlueButton on FHIR interface

What it does

Portal allows Patient to schedule an appointment then for a Physician to send claims to CMS and receive reimbursement. After that both Patient and Provider with authorization from Patient can access the EOB information.

How I built it

We're using Java Spring framework with HAPI FHIR API along with the BlueButton access API

What's next for Edifecs BlueButton on FHIR

We're planning to integrate full OAuth 2.0 as well as add ability to connect to 3rd party BlueButton providers
