Photographers don’t spend most of their time shooting—they spend it fixing.
For every hour on set, creatives spend 4–6 hours culling, correcting, and editing. The pain starts before the shutter clicks: missed lighting ratios, distracting background elements, or composition that is "almost" perfect but technically flawed.
Auteur is a real-time, multimodal "Second Eye" for creators.
By fusing Overshoot’s continuous video understanding with LiveKit’s real-time conversational AI, Auteur acts as an always-on cinematographer that whispers actionable feedback directly into your ear. It doesn't just filter reality; it directs it.
Auteur operates through three distinct "Lenses":
- 📐 The Architect (Geometry): Scans for leading lines and symmetry, overlaying a dynamic grid to enforce the Rule of Thirds.
- 💡 The Gaffer (Light): Analyzes exposure and contrast, suggesting physical adjustments (e.g., "Raise the key light 15°," "Subject is backlit—rotate left").
- 🎭 The Storyteller (Narrative): Detects semantic relationships between objects (e.g., "The red umbrella contrasts with the grey wall") and highlights them to encourage stronger visual storytelling.
Unlike passive recording tools, Auteur is Agentic. It uses a "Silent Observer" protocol to watch your feed continuously but only speaks when you ask for help or when it detects a critical opportunity—ensuring you leave the set with keepers, not "maybes."
