Inspiration EduScapeIO was born out of the chaos of online learning. We saw friends, students, and even ourselves bounce between tutorials, blogs, and courses — but never with a clear roadmap. Education felt fragmented and overwhelming. We wanted to create something that could act like a GPS for learning — AI-guided, personalized, and structured. That vision became EduScapeIO.

What it does EduScapeIO takes any learning goal (like "Learn Web Development in 30 days") and uses AI to generate a personalized, step-by-step learning roadmap. It curates top videos, docs, and articles from across the internet and turns them into a daily plan — cutting the guesswork and helping users focus on learning, not searching.

How we built it We built EduScapeIO using:

React (Vite) for the frontend

Tailwind CSS for styling

OpenAI GPT-4 API for smart learning path generation

YouTube Data API to fetch high-quality tutorial content

Netlify for deployment and CI/CD

LocalStorage for state persistence in the browser

Challenges we ran into Prompt engineering was a big challenge — we had to fine-tune AI responses to make learning plans structured, not just general tips. Filtering quality content from YouTube without noise or clickbait also took work. Plus, designing a UI that’s both minimal and informative under time pressure was tricky.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We’re proud that EduScapeIO went from idea to functional product in such a short time. It’s not just a concept — it works. We built a sleek interface, smart AI backend, and real-time content integration. And it all comes together in a user experience that feels personal, helpful, and powerful.

What we learned We learned how powerful GPT-4 can be when combined with thoughtful UX. We gained experience in prompt optimization, API integration, and making AI feel useful, not gimmicky. Most of all, we learned how to move fast, stay focused, and turn a bold idea into a working solution.

What's next for EDUSCAPEIO We plan to add user authentication, progress tracking, and gamified features like streaks and badges. We also want to expand content sources, support multiple languages, and allow users to build and share their own learning paths. EduScapeIO is just getting started — and we’re aiming big.
