Inspiration Our inspiration mainly came from the passion for conserving environment and our love for technology. Creating something that can help us reduce the environmental problems. Using technology to create a tool that promotes sustainability.This hackathon challenge helped us to think to build something informative and innovative!

What it does Our Carbon Footprint Calculator "Ecotrack" helps you track your environmental impact and provides actionable tips to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Easily calculate your carbon emissions from daily activities like transportation, energy use, and food consumption. Get personalized recommendations to reduce your footprint and contribute to a greener planet.

How we built it We built this website using simple HTML,CSS and Javascript.

Challenges we ran into

TIME MANAGEMENT-Making sure that we complete this project in given time yet not compromising on the quality. Making sure that we use our skills to the best level. DEBUGGING AND TESTING - solving the bugs and getting closer to our desired result! APPERANCE-Making sure the website is fun to use and aesthetically pleasing. TACKLING THE GENZ- As we know the genz generation wants some fun and creating a humour using popular meme to educate the youth was our little attempt to make the website more fun!

What we learned

💻 Frontend Development – Strengthened our skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while building an interactive and responsive UI. Real-Time Calculations – Implemented dynamic input handling and calculations for accurate carbon footprint estimation. Data Handling – Learned how to integrate reliable emission factor data for better accuracy. User Experience (UX/UI) – Designed an intuitive and engaging interface to ensure accessibility. Gained deeper knowledge about emissions from transportation, energy, food, and lifestyle choices.
