What it does

Our electrochromic window technology offers dynamic control over sunlight, allowing you to optimize natural light, reduce glare, and regulate temperature. This innovative solution enhances energy efficiency, improves comfort, and elevates the aesthetic appeal of any building.

How we built it

We used a ESP32 microcontroller and a UV/Light sensor combined with a fail-safe battery and a pretty case. We also prototyped an app in Figma.

Challenges we ran into

Thinking solutions that could use electrochromic films.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have a prototype and an application demo and a great team. Also the idea is Low maintenance cost , long lasting and using local data from web.

What we learned

How to use figma, what is electrochromic film/window.

What's next for EcoTint

Industrial future, more features(google home/smart things), more users.

Updates

posted an update

Little update or more info about modes: ambient mode is when the sun is down the window tint is non transparent for privacy Work mode automatically darkens the film once no disturb mode is activated Sleep mode is the one with the 2 text boxes where you enter your rough sleep hours and its gonna auto darken at that time. Adaptive lightning uses the inbuilt sensors to control the special film and nearby lights to let as much natural light as possible while still keeping it glare friendly. Voice control is a thing we would add in a future update
