We were inspired to create this project because we believe that it can be very easy to lose track of how much waste we produce on a daily basis, especially with busy schedules. This is where EcoTally comes in, every day a user types in the amount of waste they produced throughout the day, including the amount of times they flushed the toilet, how many minutes they spent washing the dishes, their shower time, and so on. After they click "Generate Tally" they will see an energy bar showing the amount of waste they have used up out of their total consumption limit. We see a lot in the future of EcoTally and believe that it can be a very helpful app for the future, especially since sustainability is a growing cause to be mindful of. We used Kintone to set up our backend with a database that is connected to values the user inputs for their waste amounts. The frontend was designed with React, Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
