Inspiration

We wanted to create an app, so that any person no matter their age would be able to use this app. It integrates situations from everyday life with helpful suggestions on how to be more eco friendly. This allows for a larger audience to be reached as the scenarios are related to everyday life.

What it does

Basically, there are different settings in which questions are asked to the person on what they would do in a particular scenario. Picking the right answer gives them a green light, but picking the wrong one makes the option turn red. In this way, people realise that they could make a few changes to their habits and it would greatly help the environment.

How I built it

Honestly, it was a rush, but we based this app off a few YouTube tutorials and elaborated on them. We added our own flair and of course pushed the message of environmental sustainability.

Challenges I ran into

Code writing is extremely tedious and detailed. Had to run through the entire code multiple times.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We managed to create a pretty worthwhile app in basically a day

What I learned

Code writing is difficult, but paying attention to the details, staying logical and level headed is pertinent to a Hackathon.

What's next for EcoStories

We plan on expanding the no. of settings with more challenging situations
