Inspiration
The very streets of Jakarta that are littered with trash where workers have to tirelessly pick up and sort trash manually to get it recycled, only for 90% to end up in a dumpsite or a landfill.
What it does
It is an automated, sensor-driven optical sorting system equipped with a conveyor-fed robotic arm.
How we built it
Using VS code, cardboard, motors and wires.
Challenges we ran into
Time management and the speed at which the conveyor moves the trash.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having figured out how to code the arm.
What we learned
That proper allocation and time management is important to completing a task.
What's next for EcoSort by MHJ
A prototype that better demonstrates the goals of EcoSort.
