Challenges we ran into
During our daily life, we noticed that many people throw waste without separating it properly. Plastic, food waste, paper, and metal were all mixed together in the same dustbin. Because of this, recycling became difficult and large amounts of waste polluted the environment. We also observed that manual waste segregation takes more time, requires more workers, and sometimes leads to health issues.
One day, while discussing environmental problems and smart technology, we thought about using Artificial Intelligence to solve this issue. We were inspired by the concept of smart cities and automation. Since AI is capable of identifying objects through images, we decided to create a system that can automatically recognize and sort waste materials.
This idea became the foundation of our project, EcoSort AI. The project was developed with the aim of making waste management smarter, faster, and more eco-friendly. We wanted to create a system that not only reduces human effort but also increases recycling efficiency and promotes cleanliness in society.
Our inspiration mainly came from the desire to protect the environment and use modern technology for a social cause. EcoSort AI is a small step towards a cleaner and greener future.
